Sneak peek: the new Mapper

Sneak peek: the new Mapper

If you've got more than one income stream, this one's for you. Fractional executives. Advisers. Board members. Consultants. Founders running a practice on the side. If your career stopped being one job a while back, this is for you.

When you earn from more than one place, your work ends up scattered: a CV here, LinkedIn there, a folder of invoices you haven't opened in months. None of it adds up to a number you can actually use, and none of it is really in your hands.

That's the gap Mapper was built to close. Some of you met the very first version, a Tally form back in the spring. Many more of you mapped on the first Mapper over the summer. Hundreds of you, in fact, and 85% were underpricing at least one stream. Most had no idea until Mapper showed them, in black and white.

We took what we learned from that first round, plus everything our supertesters flagged, and rebuilt Mapper from scratch. It's still in beta, so expect a few rough edges, but it does far more than the form ever could: your archetype, your benchmark, your verified record and matched opportunities, all in one place, all under your control.

If you've mapped with us before, yes, we're asking you to do it again. For some of you this is the third time, and we know it. Every version has been built on what the last one taught us, and this is the one that gives you something back straight away: a record you can see, a benchmark on its way, and an Assistant that only gets sharper the more Pholyos it learns from. Five minutes, and you're seeing it before anyone else does.

Code: MYPHOLYO-21

What's inside

๐Ÿ“Š Your Pholyo stack. Every role, every stream, in one place. Paid, unpaid, the work you'd never put on a CV. All of it counts, and for the first time, all of it is yours to see at once.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Your benchmark. See where your rate sits against people just like you: same role, same market, same seniority. Your band unlocks once ten people like you have mapped, and we'll notify you the moment it does.

โœ… Your verified record. Confirmed by the people who paid you. It cannot be bought, and nothing is shared without your say-so. You decide who sees it and when.

๐ŸŽฏ Your opportunities. We scan the roles each week and show you the ones that actually fit your Pholyo, with a line on why. You decide: interested or not.

๐Ÿค– Your Assistant: the part that gives you the upper hand

Every stream you've ever worked has come with paperwork, admin and conversations you'd rather not have to start. Usually you're managing all of it alone, after hours, with no one keeping track but you.

This changes that. An agent working your stack in the background, so the control stays with you and the grunt work doesn't. Right now, in this beta, it reads the week's market news against your rates. Here's where it's heading:

Already knows where you're underpriced. It reads across every verified engagement you have and tells you, unprompted, what you're leaving on the table and why. No more waiting for a review to find out.

Never sends anything without you. It drafts the hard conversations, a rate review, a verification request, and shows you exactly what it says before anything goes out. You stay the one who decides, every time.

Spots when an engagement is ending, before you do. It watches for contract end dates and starts lining up what's next while there's still time to act, instead of you finding out the hard way.

Keeps a running list of what's worth doing next. Small, specific, already reasoned through, so you're never starting from nothing.

It will connect to what you already use, starting with LinkedIn and your calendar, so keeping your record current stops being another job. Everything above is what it's becoming, and every Pholyo you map is what teaches it to get there faster.

How it works (5 minutes)

This is beta: it works best on desktop right now, and we're shipping improvements weekly. Tell us what breaks. It shapes what we build next.

Drop in your LinkedIn (open your profile, select the whole page, copy, paste, done) or skip it and add your roles yourself, which is the route to take on your phone.

Tell us what's in your Pholyo, paid and unpaid, and how much of your month each part takes. Your figures stay private.

Get your full picture: archetype, earnings, matched roles, and your benchmark status.

Verification is next. That's the step that turns your record into something a hirer can trust.

Catch you next week,

The MyPholyo team

P.S. June sat down with Female Founders Rise this week to talk about finding out what her work was actually worth. Give it a listen.

A letter from June I chose time over money. Did I get it wrong? This was the question I had to answer recently, and it made me realise that although I had studied economics, I hadn't been applying many of the principles I learnt at UCL to my own career. Let me take you back to the beginning. Like many people, I didn't start off with a grand plan. I just knew I couldn't afford to get it wrong. When you come from a family of very ambitious people who have built businesses and kept them going...
